Since when are Orchard, Ashmun, Bristol, and Whalley "around science hill" or "part of the grad ghetto?" Did this reporter even bother to look at a map? Has she ever set foot on Bristol Street or Whalley "street?"

Also, yay imperialism. Boola boola.

  1. Well, at least they got Linden right. 4 out of 5 ain't bad for someone who has probably never left the campus.

  2. One word: mapquest. Or two words: google maps. Or expedia. Or investigative journalism rather than rewording the police blotter.

And doesn't the YDN have like sixty gajillion editors?

And yes, Linden is in the right neighborhood Orchard street, however, is several miles from Linden street, and even if you've never left campus, all the undergrads wind up on Whalley avenue on the first week of classes because that's where Staples is.

That said, i hope the person who was robbed is ok, and i hope that rather than initiating a police crackdown, folks in New Haven take this as an opportunity to think critically about what Yale is and is not doing in the city.
