Liberation=Prison Rape?

I would try to say something really smart about colonialism, the body, technologies of punishment, and the construction of difference, but i think i'm too shocked and awed. So this is freedom, huh?

Nathan Newman points to the privatization of the military occupation as a signal of "subcontracting as a human rights abuse.' While this is certainly true, i think this is also about state and colonial violence - something Newman seems reluctant to talk about.
