I gave up on Naples night and i give up on this place and I'll hang around for the next few days vbecause i've made commitments (leafletting tomorrow, teaching wednesday, dinner on the 26th with my UMOJA students,) but for the most part i can't take Yale anymore (today's parade, when the New Haven community took over Elm street for a few brief moments being an ephemeral exception, though it outlasted the weird incident in which a man shoved his finger into my ofrehead and drew blood - and i have not made good on my commitments to craft an "eascape plan" as it were, and i just want to pack up and get out. (Even though part of me would be perfectly happy to come back fro grad school or to organize or something.)
Which would probably mean mom and dad's apartment. Which i'm not sure i can take right now - but with no job, i'm not going anywhere else, obviously.
Fuck. Going to Naples alone reminded me of all those thursday nights three years ago and made me feel a profound solitude. Or maybe it wasn't so profound really. Fuck it. I'm going to go home, jump in the bathtub, and read something escapist or teleological.
