Three CGEU reportbacks, from GESO blogging trifecta Evan Cobb, mcplunk, and Robin Herlands, seem to suggest that the conference was a success and that there's an exciting and powerful movement fighting for the rights of academic workers to organize, and that this movement isn't going to silently allow the Bush administration and its allies in academia to destroy the future of teaching and research.  This is great news.

My brother's back in town from the Czech republic, and we're about to go see Anchorman.  More blogging later, probably.

One question: why is it fine for Dick Cheney to tell Leahy to go fuck himself, while Theresa Heinz telling some reporter to shove it elicits righteous indignation from CNN?  Doesn't this strike anyone as a little bit sexist?

Ok, no more defending statist bourgie democrats (Heinz is like a republican anyway, right?) on this blog.  Especially not ones whose first husbands crashed their planes onto my old elementary school.
