sidebar surprises

I made a "Greatest Hits" section on the sidebar with links to some old entries i'm particularly fond of or feel may explain where i'm coming from to folks who don't know me and/or don't particularly feel like reading 798 posts of, oh, this. I will be adding more soon - conspicuoulsy lacking are my posts from the back and forth on the Lord of The Rings and "the Aryan" and on the Republican Convention and the militarized gentrificatory politics of gunpoint urban rental. This gives me an excuse to go back and read what i've been writing here for the last sixteen months, which is kind of fun, though returning to some of those really hard months will be a bit intense, i'm sure. So keep checking back. In the meantime, i'm taking a cue from ABP
