Finished Impossible Subjects this morning. It's fantastic, and everybody who reads this blog should read it, because Ngai's brilliant and makes some arguments and points to elements of the history of the construction of illegal immigration of which i was completely unaware. Next, i think i'm going to try to get through Paul Gilroy's Against Race. Incidentally, this is my 800th post on this blog, believe it or not.
