sitting in St. Mark's Place Chipotle, McDonalds-owned faux cali-mex chain staffed by low paid latina/os, and "Ghost Town" comes on in the place's preprogrammed stereo and all i can think, looking out on the street full of rich white yuppie hipsters and atavistic tatoo parlors and the skeletal remains of Coney Island High, is yes, Terry Hall, this town is becoming like a Ghost Town, thanks in part to the very establishment which is now playing your song on its preprogrammed playlist to appeal to affluent tourist/NYU/ex-white-thirdwave-"rudeboy" hipster set.
Now the place where i'm blogging this is playing John Sebastian's theme from Welcome Back Kotter.
