Highlights from the seminar:
Today's unions have "changed to win." Have you?
In 2005, unions including the
SEIU, UNITE HERE, UFCW, and Teamsters left the venerable AFL-CIO to form the new
Change To Win Federation. Faced with new competition, the AFL-CIO threw its
support to its remaining unions and bolstered union organizing. This radical
reform has already led to unprecedented union organizing victories.
It's a
whole new battle... and only those employers who know the strategy will emerge
from the fight union-free.
Attend "How To Stay Union Free" and learn:
How
competing unions are a new threat to you and your organization
How to fight
new organizing techniques including neutrality agreements, voluntary
recognition, and corporate campaigns
How you can make unions irrelevant to
your employees — before the organizing starts
How to develop a comprehensive
plan that starts working long before the union shows up
How to empower your
supervisors to exercise their union-free rights under the law
How to protect
your company's property rights when confronted with organizing
How to define
the communications agenda and put the union on the defensive
They're clearly scared by (or think it's profitable to scare enmployers by raising the specter of) the implications and early effects of the CTW/AFL split, which suggests to me that Wilhelm et al. were right, and Buffenbarger and others who argued that this was a desertion that would deal "Labor" (as if such a metonymy were ever approporiate) a critical blow were wrong.
