And now for something completely mundane...



The past week has contained too much vegetation and not enough getting work done (i hesitate to use "productivity," but maybe i should just recpncile myself to the total taylorized regimentation of everyday life and then try to do something about it.)



I don't alyaws agree with Stuart Hall, but i've enjoyed reading the festschrift (mostly just the stuff he wrote, and the interviews.) Interviews where scholars are really articulate scare the carp oiut of me because i'm never going to be able to be that coherent and i develop a big inferiority complex about it and get really scared about orals when i haven't even finished applying yet.



There's snow all over the ground. I'm going to go out and enjoy it for a bit.
