this monkey's gone to heaven

It's drawing on 2 AM and i gotta work tomorrow, but i'll post a full review of the excellent Pixies show later. For now, what you need to know is: Interpol suck live, the Pixies are fucking amazing, Kim Deal's backing vocals (think the oooh-oohs on "Where Is My Mind) are the coolest sounds i have ever heard. Joey Santiago is still one of my favorite guitarists ever. Charles Thompson's face looks broken when he says the "I got a broken face" line. Kim Deal is amazingly cool. The only dissapointments were the lack of, in order, "Tony's Theme," "Crackity Jones," "River Euphrates," "Silver," and "There Goes My Gun" - five of my favorite songs. (I especially love Silver more than rating it fourth would suggest, but i can understand how it would be difficult to fit into a live set.) Also no Alec Eiffel, but i'm ok with that. The "shakeyourbutt" and whistleing on "La La Love You" was fantastic. Okay, more later.
