Valentine's Day was uneventful and rainy. I walked 8 miles and did little else. Valentine's Day's always been a big orgy of capitalist reification and emotional clusterfuck, but when most days are exactly the same as the ones preceeding them, it gets really frustrating. This weekend and the one before it were both great though. Hanging out with friends, bizarre encounters with people from high school i hadn't seen in half a decade, and possibilities, however dim, of employment all instill some hope that maybe i'll be able to salvage the rest of this crazy year.

ReplyDeletei was thinking in terms of the academic year. I shoudl find out about grad schools in less than a month and a half, which i'm somewhat stressed about.
