there's something surreal or ironic or one of those other words we all pretend we understand about reading Andrew Ross's chapter on sweatshop productiona dn the branding of sports in his new book as i prepare to head off to Shea Stadium with alyssa, my brother Lev, and my brother's friend from the Center School. I'm not planning on buying any mets merchandise today, but i am going to keep my eyes open and interrogate branding techniques employed on and off the field. The mets are playing the detroit tigers, so god knows, they may actually win. I don't think i've ever seen the mets win at Shea. I can't believe i'm blogging about baseball.
