After more than two weeks, the sit-in at UNC Chapel Hill ends in arrests and repression , as University administrators refuse to sign the DSP. See here and here
oh i was there, and it wasn't fun-- had to flush that down with mimosas. (why is it that they never have mimosas at sit-ins, i wonder.) greetings from the genteel (when not arresting) south, v.i.f.
what about the penn state 31? president spanier has thus far refused to sign the dsp and instead ordered the arrest of 31 student protesters. each of these protesters now face up to 1 year in prison or $2500 in fines. this, coupled with unc, is just shameful.
I hadn't heard, anon. Thanks for passing the word on. And it sounds like there are similar calumnies going down at U.S.C. (or what Toby Miller has called "The University of Stolen Colleagues.)
