First off, Happy Birthday to my dad, who turns 56 today.
The Wowz have released their debut LP, Long Grain Rights, on Chris Maher's Recommended If You Like Records. It's an excellent record, far stronger than their Nicotine Bubblegum EP and well worth buying. The newer material in particular is fantastic,a and this band is only getting better. You can get the CD from RIYL. I, however, got my copy at Kim's Uptown while inquiring about employment possibilities. I also found a used copy of the new Bad Religion album, The Empire Strikes First, which i'd been hearing good things about and had been wanting to check out for a while, mostly because the title rocks. And if that weren't enough, i found a used copy of Springsteen's Darkness on The Edge of Town, which is exciting 'cause i own no Springsteen at all and i've heard good things.
