A seldom-updated blog about labor and universities and sometimes other stuff

So there is a saying that love means never having to say you're sorry. This is, in fact, complete bullshit. I find myslef apologizing to loved ones all the time. The only social relationship within which one never apologizes is one of privilege, of exploitation. I would like to run a campaign along the lines of "white/male privilege means never having to say you're sorry." This has been spurred by an ongoing meditation on the ways in which, particularly over the last four years, i have experienced, benefitted from, internalized, and attempted to contest white privilege and patriarchy. I doubt i'm making any sense.
