The title of this post is a reference to several things.
1. The New Yo La Tengo album, which is really great - eclectic, engaging, energetic - everything Summer Sun wasn't. It's easily their best since I Can Feel The Heart Beating As One and definitely one of my favorite CDs of the year.
2.San Francisco hotel workers winning a pretty amazing contract after a two year long struggle involving a two-month long lockout, a two year-long boycott, and a bunch of strike votes..
3.The chemists who marched into the office of the NYU GSAS dean friday afternoon to protest their "cancelled" paychecks. (Bread and Roses beat me to posting, read the whole account at Nerds on Strike, linked above.
