He's like an anti-fanon.

And he's got the letters from fascist poets to prove it!

honk if you're lonely tonight

Strange day. I'm extremely stressed out about the amount of work i have to do, and the amount of organizing i have to do, and the fact that it's already April 3rd.

Was feeling lost and then got a text message from Ana and went and got some fake chicken and talked about life.

I am working on rewriting "Bastards of Young" to be about the strike. This feels horribly wrong. Alek will doubtless excoriate me. But "Dreams unfulfilled/graduates deskilled" nevertheless seems rather trenchant. Also working on "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" as part of my recent fascination with Journey and Steve Perry which transcends simple hipster irony.

Of late i seem rather adept at pissing off people i like. I credit this to the confused feeling of ineptitude that's been dogging me for the last week or two.

Tomorrow night, if you aren't an NYU grad student and thus aren't at John Sexton's "Town Hall" meeting like I will be tomorrow night, go check out Thomas, who's playing at a benefit for Daniel Macgowan.

Federal Plaza

Outside my window, folks draped in Mexican flags are walking to the subway. The are heading to Cadman Plaza, where NYC is going to have our own demonstration for immigrant rights, marching across the brooklyn bridge.

I'm going to walk in that direction and try to catch up. If not, I'm there in spirit...
